As someone who has grown up watching Finn Wolfhard‘s chilling performances in horror movies, it’s both thrilling and intriguing to learn that he might have encountered a real-life ghostly presence. His account of seeing an unidentified crew member on the set of It adds a layer of authenticity to the supernatural elements portrayed in his films.
Finn Wolfhard has made a name for himself by acting in horror films. Despite being accustomed to eerie settings and dim lighting, he shared a chilling experience from his past – an encounter with a ghost – which occurred during his childhood. In the 2017 film “It,” he embodied the character of a young boy.
On set, the youthful actor asserted that he spotted a team member working atop the building. Yet, when inquired, no one recognized the worker or ever noticed them again within the set.
During an interview with People Magazine, Wolfhard recounted his chilling encounter, asserting it as a truly terrifying experience. He disclosed, “Despite starring in numerous supernatural films and series, I’ve never actually witnessed a full-blown ghost.” He went on to recall, “However, when I was young while filming It in an abandoned mansion in Toronto, my friends and I often roamed the floors.
The actor subsequently disclosed, “We ascended to the highest level and spotted a man in black apparently engaged in electrical work. Initially, we assumed he was merely a team member, but later discovered that no one recognized him and he was never seen again.
Afterlife, Frozen Empire, and a few more films of this genre.
In this production, Finn took on the role of Richie Tozier, a character who, together with his friends, experienced chilling encounters involving supernatural happenings, manifested as a menacing clown played by Bill Skarsgard.
In summary, the movie’s storyline goes like this: A group of seven powerless and tormented kids are compelled to confront their deepest fears as Pennywise, a sinister clown with the ability to transform, resurfaces. This evil entity from times past preys on children by terrorizing them before consuming them.
In addition to Wolfhard and Skarsgard, the film also featured Sophia Lillis, Jaden Lieberher, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Jeremy Ray Taylor.
It is available to stream on Netflix.
