As a devoted fan of The Walking Dead franchise, I am beyond thrilled to witness the commencement of Season 3 filming in Madrid. The prospect of seeing Daryl and Carol’s adventures unfold in Europe is as exhilarating as a herd of walkers charging towards you, yet somehow still manageable (though not without a healthy dose of adrenaline).
Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride have begun filming Season 3 of “The Walking Dead” in Madrid, Spain, as confirmed by their announcement. This news was shared in a fun, friendly manner through the franchise’s social media pages, where they posted videos dressed in costumes and greeted fans as ‘Amigos’. Reedus expresses his joy about filming season 3 in Spain.
As McBride enthusiastically exclaimed, “Let’s move! Onward, let’s go!”, he playfully nudged Reedus out of sight. (First person: I, eagerly echoing McBride, cheered, “Onward! Let’s get moving!” before jovially giving a gentle shove to Reedus.)
On July 26th, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, alongside executive producer Greg Nicotero and showrunner David Zabel, gathered at Hall H for a celebration marking the ongoing run of the series.
Andrew Lincoln (McBride) didn’t appear in season 1 of The Walking Dead because filming took place outside of Georgia. Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) stated, “It’s intriguing shooting this show outside of Georgia. We essentially started with these two characters and built the world around them. So to see Melissa (McBride’s character) come to Europe to be a badass? I’ve been eagerly waiting.” In season 1 of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, the story follows Daryl waking up on a beach in Marseille after the events of The Walking Dead Season 11. A nun gives him a mission to escort a French boy named Laurent, who was believed to be an extraordinarily empathetic messiah, to Northern France.
Isabelle (played by Clémence Poésy) and Daryl embarked on a dangerous expedition. Along the way, they encountered fire-breathing zombies, a merciless nightclub operator, and an ambitious political figure. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon—The Book of Carol is scheduled to debut in the US on September 29, followed by a UK release in October.
