Reiner, age 78, and his wife, Michele, were discovered dead, and police are investigating their deaths as a homicide. Former President Trump’s immediate response to the news caused outrage on a popular daytime talk show.
While discussing the issue on air, Sunny Hostin started to mention a post made by Trump about Rob Reiner. Whoopi Goldberg quickly interrupted her, asking her to simply acknowledge the post existed instead of reading it aloud. Hostin agreed, stating she didn’t believe it was appropriate to share the content with viewers.
The controversial comments originated from Donald Trump’s Truth Social account. In his post, Trump implied that Rob Reiner’s death might be linked to his criticism of Trump, attributing it to what he termed “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” The post rapidly circulated online and sparked significant criticism.
Ana Navarro strongly criticized Donald Trump’s recent comments, calling them inappropriate given a family’s time of grief. She stated that Trump made the situation about himself by attacking Rob Reiner for expressing his opinion, which she found both shameful and disgraceful. Navarro went on to say that the post was among Trump’s most troubling actions.

The investigation into the death of Reiner continues, and his son, 32-year-old Nick Reiner, has been arrested. He’s currently being held and his bail is set at $4 million. Authorities are still working to gather information about what happened.
