The Vampire Lestat SLAYS with Second Single, ‘All Fall Down’

If you’re a fan of The Vampire Lestat, you might recognize snippets of this song! It’s “All Fall Down,” the second single from the musical, and it’s incredibly catchy. Lestat is well aware the song is short – just a minute long – and playfully challenges anyone to question its length, especially those who haven’t released two singles themselves! He’s embracing the TikTok generation and confidently expects to return to the top of the charts – he even joked about surpassing Taylor Swift! You can listen to “All Fall Down” now, released to celebrate the announcement of The Vampire Lestat‘s premiere date.

As Lestat pointed out, he doesn’t want to hear this from you. This song is a huge hit, and everyone already knows it – even you, Armand. We know you’re a fan! If you want to listen again, you can find this song and “Long Face” on the official pages for The Vampire Lestat.

Lestat, commenting on his second single, “All Fall Down,” joked that its 68-second length was still 54 seconds too much of the song’s composer, Daniel Hart. He did, however, express his own approval of the chorus harmonies, noting that he created them himself. We agree – they’re great!

So, Daniel Hart, the composer for the series, finally got a chance to talk about their second single, and let me tell you, it’s a fascinating piece. The song, titled “All Fall Down,” actually serves as both the theme for the new season and represents an early composition by Lestat and the band. It’s got a definite 70s vibe – I’m picking up strong influences from Bowie, T. Rex, and that era of rock that blended glam with a bluesy undercurrent. Apparently, this song comes from a period when the band was still finding its footing, before Lestat started experimenting with different musical identities. But beyond that, Hart and the team really aimed to capture the new Lestat we’re getting to know – a character who’s wilder, rawer, and surprisingly self-aware with his humor.

We think this single really captures the feel of The Vampire Lestat, though we won’t tell Lestat that! Interestingly, the song “All Fall Down” is also featured in the opening credits of the movie, which you can view below, and you can find more information about it here.

Here are some lyrics from “All Fall Down” to give you a taste: “I’m a little killer. I’m a lonely one. I’m a chill creeping up your spine, telling you to run. I’m a hidden shadow, I’m the last alive. I’m the past and the future, the lance and the suture, a cool death. Where the rock and roll is…” Followed by “Bang, bang. Bang, Bang… All fall down, burn the ground.” The Vampire Lestat’s new single is definitely a hit!

The new series, Lestat, will premiere on June 7th. You can currently watch seasons one and two of Interview with the Vampire on AMC+.
