Fans are eagerly awaiting the return of the popular vampire characters from Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire and The Vampire Lestat. While the recent Talamasca: The Secret Order series offered a glimpse of these characters, viewers are hoping for a full new season. There was some speculation that it might arrive in April 2026, sparked by hints from the cast, but AMC has now officially announced that the series, The Vampire Lestat, will premiere in the summer of 2026.
AMC has announced that The Vampire Lestat will be released in the summer of 2026. We at TopMob particularly liked how they revealed the date – in a recent holiday mailing! The mailer specifically stated the series, starring Sam Reid as the world’s first immortal rockstar, will premiere on AMC and AMC+ that summer. There it is – the release date is confirmed!

Along with news about when The Vampire Lestat will be released, a promotional mailer included *Vampire Lestatthemed chocolates that had a Matcha Green Tea flavor – a surprisingly popular choice for a vampire! We loved the chocolates and are even more eager to find out the official release date so we can really start anticipating the show.

In The Vampire Lestat, Lestat (Sam Reid) is unhappy with how he was depicted in Interview with the Vampire and decides to tell his own story—in a very Lestat-like way: by forming a band and going on tour. He’s joined by a group of powerful, ancient vampires—Gabriella, Nicholas, Magnus, Marius, and others—as they embark on a journey through different eras and explore themes of pain and desire. Expect raw emotion and a unique experience – this story doesn’t shy away from intense feelings or offer easy answers.
The new series, Lestat, is scheduled to premiere in the summer of 2026. You can currently watch the first two seasons of Interview with the Vampire on AMC+ and Netflix.
