The Union Actress Halle Berry Reveals Daughter’s Reaction After She Introduced Her To Co-Star Mark Wahlberg: ‘I Got Cool Points…’

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for Hollywood dynamics, I must say that Halle Berry’s approach to her career and family is truly inspiring. Her ability to maintain a strong bond with her children while navigating the tumultuous world of showbiz is commendable. It’s heartwarming to see how she leverages her professional connections to instill a sense of wonder in her daughter, such as introducing her to Mark Wahlberg, whose work in films like Daddy’s Home has clearly left an impression.

Halle Berry and Mark Wahlberg are joining forces for their upcoming spy-action comedy-thriller movie titled “The Union.” In this project, Berry assumes the role of Roxanne, while Wahlberg plays Mike. Notably, Berry’s daughter is a big fan of Wahlberg, as she was delighted when her mother introduced them after being impressed by Wahlberg’s 2015 buddy comedy film “Daddy’s Home.”

Recently, Halle Berry graced the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of her upcoming film The Union. During an interview with PEOPLE magazine, she discussed the movie and other aspects of the project. In addition, Berry shared a special moment when she gained approval from her daughter Nahla Ariela Aubry by working alongside Mark Wahlberg on this production, a co-star whom she had met previously.

The actress from Moonfall stated, “I earned some cool cred when I presented my daughter to Mark because she’s such a fan of Daddy’s Home.” She then disclosed that it’s one of her preferred films. Berry mentioned that when they met the actor from Ted, it was the very first time in her entire career that her daughter thought she was “awesome” for knowing someone famous. She explained that Nahla had never expressed such feelings before, but it turned out that Wahlberg was one of her favorites.

In an open chat with the media, Halle Berry shared what guidance she’d give her children Nahla Ariela and Maceo-Robert if they chose to follow in her footsteps and venture into Hollywood. She emphasized that she would advise them to build their careers independently, without leaning on “connections,” as she had started from the bottom and expected them to do the same.

Berry stated that her children should go through the process of ‘earning their stripes,’ learn a skill, put in effort, and become self-reliant. She highlighted that in this manner, their accomplishments would be entirely their own, as “No one can take it away from them. That’s what they need to do.”

In August 2024, Julian Farino’s film titled The Union will debut on Netflix. As stated in its synopsis, the story revolves around Mike, a New Jersey construction worker, whose former sweetheart, Roxanne (played by Berry), re-enters his life. She enlists him for a perilous intelligence operation in Europe, which brings them closer, immersing them in a realm of spies, fast-paced car chases, and romantic tension.

In addition to Halle Berry and Mark Wahlberg, this movie boasts an impressive ensemble cast that includes Mike Colter, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, J. K. Simmons, Jackie Earle Haley, Alice Lee, and Lorraine Bracco, as well as several other talented actors.
