And here’s the official synopsis for 100 Nights of Hero from IFC:
When Cherry’s (Monroe) husband, who was careless and thoughtlessly bet on testing her loyalty, leaves, she finds herself in a situation where she and her clever maid, Hero (Corrin), have to defend against the charm of a potentially dangerous admirer, Manfred (Galitzine).
And here’s the synopsis for the original novel:
In the Kingdom of Migdal Bavel, Cherry is wed to Jerome, a malicious man who enters into a sinister bet with his friend Manfred. If Manfred successfully woos Cherry within a hundred nights, he will gain ownership of his castle, along with Cherry herself. Unbeknownst to Jerome, however, Cherry harbors feelings for her maid Hero. The pair devise a strategy: Hero, a member of the League of Secret Story Weavers, will captivate Manfred each night by spinning enthralling tales that last for 100 nights, thereby keeping him at arm’s length. These stories are elegantly illustrated here, exploring themes such as love, deception, devotion, and insanity.
This film is an intriguing and sensual one, and it could be quite a unique blend. From what we’ve seen in the trailer, it seems to share similarities with “Poor Things.” The film titled “100 Nights of Hero” will have its world premiere on September 6 during the closing night of Venice Critics’ Week. Following this, it will be exclusively screened in cinemas starting December 5.
