Brandon Sklenar, our beloved Spencer Dutton, has assured us that the wait will be worth it, and with the scripts in his hands for over six months, I’m confident he’s right. The fact that this season promises a significant tonal shift, becoming darker while retaining its beauty, has my curiosity piqued!

As a die-hard fan of the gripping series, 1923, I can hardly contain my excitement for what lies ahead! Production for the thrilling second season of this Yellowstone prequel kicked off in June, and let me tell you, it’s going to be worth the wait.

The large, imposing star revealed that the upcoming series will exhibit a notable change in mood, growing more somber yet maintaining its aesthetic charm. He hinted at numerous scenes involving Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford, suggesting it’s going to be an extraordinary experience. In the storyline, Mirren takes on the role of Cara Dutton, the family matriarch, while Ford portrays Jacob Dutton, the patriarch. Sklenar plays their nephew Spencer, who travels back to Montana with his partner, Alex, as the series unfolds. This season continues the Yellowstone prequel story that was initially introduced in 1883.

Sklenar carefully guarded secrets about season 2’s narrative to prevent spoilers while subtly indicating that the finale would be extraordinary.
