The THUNDERBOLTS* Got Their Very Own Wheaties Box (And Fans Immediately Ate It Up)

David Harbour’s Red Guardian expresses high hopes for his freshly formed superhero team in Thunderbolts. In the Super Bowl trailer, he declares, “This has all the signs of a team destined for greatness. A beacon in the darkness. This team could be the ones on the Wheaties box!” Indeed, it appears that he may well be right, as Marvel Studios and General Mills have already collaborated to feature the MCU’s latest ensemble on an exclusive box of Wheaties cereal. Despite not actually containing any food, fans seem eager to get their hands on this symbolic representation of the team.

The Breakfast of Champions” was metaphorically rephrased as “The Breakfast of Thunderbolts.” In essence, this transformation took place when Wheaties unveiled a unique collectible cereal box emblazoned with Marvel Studios’ latest anti-hero team. The special $20 edition box sports a Wheaties-inspired Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts logo. However, contrary to its traditional purpose, this box contains no edible cereal; it is intended solely for display and not consumption (though eating cardboard is not recommended).

For over a hundred years, Wheaties has been honoring greatness in various fields such as sports, art, and entertainment. By partnering with Marvel Studios for the upcoming movie, Thunderbolts, we’re excited to support an extraordinary kind of hero – one that challenges norms. This special edition product is tailored for fans of Marvel as well as cereal enthusiasts, providing a distinctive method to commemorate the launch of Marvel Studios’ most unconventional team.

1,000 units of the extremely rare collector’s item called “Thunderbolts” were put up for sale at Wheaties.com, and customers could choose between purchasing one with or without a protective acrylic cover. The items didn’t stay on the shelf for long; they were quickly snapped up as soon as they went on sale.

It’s clear that only one box per customer was allowed, including the mighty Red Guardian himself. This means that a total of 999 additional customers must have purchased one as well.
