The Summer I Turned Pretty to Conclude With Season 3; Find Out When Prime Video Series’ Final Season Airs

The beloved series “The Summer I Turned Pretty” is gearing up for a grand finale with Season 3! It’s been confirmed by Amazon Prime Video that this upcoming third season will mark the end of the storyline. This romance-focused series centers around a love triangle between one girl and two brothers.

The tale delves into ideas of young love, heartache, and the enchantment of a single idyllic summer, as suggested by the summary. On March 7th, Friday, the streaming platform unveiled an unexpected revelation, hinting at a July 2025 release for the final season’s 11 episodes.

The anticipated yet still shocking development took place. Since the series is based on Jenny Han’s own titled book trilogy, there was no need to prolong the narrative. The show made its debut in 2022, followed by a subsequent season released the following year.

This multi-generational storyline delves into significant side topics, including mother-child bonds and the lasting impact of powerful female relationships. As for the growing-up tale, it’s a charming romantic storyline with hints of deep emotional themes.

The principal role is held by Lola Tung, with Jackie Chung, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, Rachel Blanchard, Sean Kaufman, Rain Spencer, and more making up the main cast.

In collaboration, Han (the original author) and Sarah Kucserka share the role of showrunners. They, along with Karen Rosenfelt, Paul Lee, Hope Hartman, and Mads Hansen, also hold positions as executive producers.

Previously, Han’s work has been transformed for the big screen as well. She is the author of the original trilogy which served as the basis for the successful Netflix movie franchise To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. This popular film series later evolved into its spin-off series, titled XO, Kitty.

As a die-hard fan, I’m absolutely thrilled about the new spin-off! Instead of following Lara Jean Song Covey (Lana Condor), this time around we delve into the life of her sister, Kitty, during her teenage years while attending school in Korea. It’s truly exciting to know that one of my favorite producers, Han, is involved with this project!
