The Simpsons first introduced its spooky Halloween special, Treehouse of Horror, on October 25, 1990, during its second season. After that, a new episode aired every year until recently, when it aired two in one year. Considering the show has been on for so long, that means there are 36 episodes filled with parodies, jokes, and, of course, axes in poor Willy’s back! That totals over 13 hours of television. And this fall, you can watch all of these Halloween shorts one after another without leaving your couch! Disney+ has transformed its continuous stream of The Simpsons into a non-stop Treehouse of Terror marathon.
The Hollywood Reporter was the first to announce that Disney+’s Simpsons FAST channel is celebrating Halloween by showing every Treehouse of Terror episode in order. This is all part of Disney’s yearly Huluween event. THR was also informed by Disney that the Treehouse channel will feature “a few scary surprises.”
The “Treehouse of Horrors” stream is one of four new channels Disney+ is offering this season. The others include a channel dedicated to classic Halloween movies called Hallowstream. The Villains channel will showcase some of the most memorable villains in film history. And the Waverly Place channel will feature shows for “wizards of all ages.”

The Simpsons’ Treehouse stream started today! After you finish watching over 13 hours of slightly spooky cartoons, you can debate our ranking of every Treehouse of Horror episode with us. That’s right – we watched all of these a long time before anyone compiled them into a handy live stream. It was a lot of work. But we did it because we want you to have the best experience. Plus, we genuinely enjoy watching Treehouse of Horror episodes. We’ve been doing this for years, and now we’ll be doing it in 13-hour stretches.
