What really grabs me is how the series uses her desperate fight to survive to show the real, complicated tensions in the Middle East. It’s also a deeply personal journey for her, as she rediscovers her connection to her heritage and has to figure out who she’s truly loyal to when everyone’s allegiances are constantly changing. It’s a truly gripping thriller, and the fact that it’s filmed on location makes it feel so much more authentic and intense.

Idris Elba is phenomenal; he carries the whole thing, and the show does a great job of digging into the psychological battle between the passengers and those who’ve taken them hostage.

I absolutely love Ted Lasso! The show starts with this American football coach, Ted, being brought in to coach a British soccer team, AFC Richmond, even though he knows nothing about soccer. It’s hilarious at first, watching him try to figure things out, but it quickly becomes so much more. What’s amazing is how his constant optimism and unusual coaching style slowly win over everyone – the team owner, the players, even the skeptical fans. It’s not just a funny show about a clueless American, though. It really dives into important stuff like understanding your feelings, working together, and taking care of your mental health. Over the three seasons, you see the characters grow so much as people, all while dealing with the stress of professional sports. It’s just a really heartwarming and funny show that doesn’t shy away from real emotions, and that’s why everyone loves it!

‘Severance’ (2022–)

At Lumon Industries, employees have a surgery that divides their work and personal memories, essentially creating two separate selves. Mark Scout, who works in the Macrodata Refinement department, starts to realize the company is hiding something much darker than it seems. The employees, known as “Innies,” who work in a strange, windowless office, begin to question their situation and fight against the control they’ve been subjected to, trying to discover who they really are.
