Get ready for The Muppet Show to return – at least for a special one-night event! A new trailer hints that this could be just the beginning, and if the special is popular enough, Disney might bring the classic show – which originally aired from 1976 to 1981 – back for good.

Get ready for The Muppet Show! Kermit, Miss Piggy, and all your favorite Muppets are returning in a brand-new special. Expect plenty of music, laughs, and classic Muppet mayhem as they welcome special guest star Sabrina Carpenter to the iconic Muppet Theatre.
The new trailer just revealed that Maya Rudolph will be joining the fun on The Muppet Show, and she’s a fantastic addition! Everyone already agrees that Sabrina Carpenter was a brilliant pick as the special’s main guest star, especially with Alex Timbers directing.
If you’re hoping this show leads to a full series, don’t miss the return of The Muppet Show on February 4th! It will first be available on Disney+ at 3:00 a.m. EST, and then will air on ABC that same night at 9:00 p.m. EST/PST.
We might learn on February 5th that a new season of The Muppet Show is coming soon.
