A fourth Mummy movie is scheduled to hit theaters on May 19, 2028. The film will bring back Oscar-winning actors Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz, continuing the adventure series for Universal.
Universal Pictures has announced they are making another film in the series, which is especially notable considering the previous attempt to restart it in 2017 wasn’t successful.

Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz Return
Fraser headlined the original trilogy, while Weisz starred in the first two films.
The original trilogy earned over $1.8 billion globally and is now one of Universal’s biggest and most popular franchises.
The 2017 Tom Cruise film didn’t succeed in starting a connected movie series, so this new film represents a deliberate change in direction.

Who’s Behind The Mummy 4?
Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, known collectively as Radio Silence, will direct the film. The screenplay is written by David Coggeshall, who also penned The Family Plan and Orphan: First Kill.
Sean Daniel, who produced the original trilogy and the 2017 reboot, returns as producer.
William Sherak, James Vanderbilt, and Paul Neinstein from Project X Entertainment are producing the film. Fraser will serve as an executive producer, along with Jason F. Brown and Denis Stewart.
Jay Polidoro and Jacqueline Garell are the Universal executives in charge of production.
