The Most Anticipated Movies of March 2026

March 2026 looks like a big month for movies, with a mix of exciting new releases and fresh takes on familiar favorites. Expect to see everything from scary remakes to original animated films, all starring big names. The schedule includes both beloved characters returning to the screen and adaptations of popular new books. With acclaimed directors leading the way, these films are expected to be both critically praised and commercially successful.

‘The Bride!’ (2026)

Maggie Gyllenhaal’s new film offers a fresh take on the classic 1935 story, told from a woman’s point of view. Set in 1930s Chicago, the movie centers around a young woman brought back to life by Frankenstein and Dr. Euphronius. Starring Christian Bale and Jessie Buckley, alongside Peter Sarsgaard, Annette Bening, and Penelope Cruz, the film follows the Bride’s journey as she evolves from a love interest into the head of a powerful social movement. It will be released in theaters on March 6, 2026.

‘Hoppers’ (2026)

Pixar’s new film presents a futuristic story about connecting with animals. It follows Mabel, a character voiced by Piper Curda, who finds a way to experience the natural world by transferring her mind into a robot animal. Jon Hamm and Bobby Moynihan also lend their voices to this animated adventure, directed by Daniel Chong. The film is a funny and heartwarming look at the relationship between humans, technology, and the animal kingdom, and will be in theaters starting March 6, 2026.

‘Reminders of Him’ (2026)

The highly anticipated film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s ‘It Ends With Us’ will arrive in theaters on March 13, 2026. Starring Tyriq Withers and Maika Monroe, the movie tells a moving story about forgiveness, loss, and the challenges of motherhood. Colleen Hoover worked directly on the screenplay and as a producer to ensure the film stays true to her bestselling novel. Directed by Vanessa Caswill, the drama centers on a woman trying to mend her life and relationship with her daughter after a devastating error. The filmmakers hope to recreate the powerful emotional impact that made the book a worldwide success.

‘Project Hail Mary’ (2026)

This thrilling science fiction film, based on the popular novel by Andy Weir, stars Ryan Gosling as an astronaut named Ryland Grace. He wakes up with complete amnesia on a space station and must rely on his scientific knowledge to save Earth from a dangerous cosmic event. Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the movie realistically depicts a high-stakes mission to the Tau Ceti solar system. Sandra Hüller and Lionel Boyce also star in important supporting roles. The film is set to be released in theaters on March 20, 2026.

‘Ready or Not 2: Here I Come’ (2026)

I’m so excited! Samara Weaving is back as Grace in the sequel to that incredibly fun horror movie! The directors, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, are returning too, which is fantastic – they really nailed the tone of the first one. They’re building on the story of the messed-up Le Domas family and the spooky stuff surrounding them, and they’ve added Kathryn Newton to the cast. From what I’ve heard, it’s going to be even more suspenseful and keep that same dark, funny edge. Basically, they’re digging deeper into the world they created with the original 2019 film, and Grace is in for a seriously tough time. We can finally see it in theaters on March 20, 2026!
