Apple TV+ has a lot to offer right now, from dramatic news stories and spy thrillers to epic science fiction and brand new documentaries. Here’s a helpful guide to what’s popular this week – a summary of each show, the actors and creators involved, and when new episodes are available – so you can easily start watching.
10. ‘Foundation’ (2021– )
Based on Isaac Asimov’s classic science fiction stories, ‘Foundation’ follows a group of exiles trying to lessen the impact of a coming dark age as a galactic empire falls apart. Created by David S. Goyer and Josh Friedman, the show first appeared in September 2021 and has continued with new seasons in 2023 and 2025, releasing episodes weekly after launching with multiple episodes at a time. The series stars Jared Harris and Lee Pace, and Apple TV+ has renewed it for future seasons, with announcements continuing into 2025.
9. ‘Mr. Scorsese’ (2025)
“Mr. Scorsese” is a five-part documentary series directed by Rebecca Miller. It takes a look at the life and career of Martin Scorsese using interviews and old footage. The series debuted worldwide on Apple TV+ on October 17, 2025, and was shown at the New York Film Festival before becoming available to stream. Each episode delves into the experiences and projects that shaped Scorsese as a filmmaker, as well as his unique approach to creating movies. The documentary includes insights from people who have worked with and known Scorsese, such as Steven Spielberg.
8. ‘Platonic’ (2023– )
“Platonic” is a half-hour comedy series starring Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen as two former best friends trying to rebuild their connection later in life, while avoiding the drama that ended their friendship before. Created by Francesca Delbanco and Nicholas Stoller, the show first aired in May 2023 and returned for a second season on August 6, 2025. New episodes, which are between 23 and 39 minutes long, are released weekly after each premiere.
7. ‘The Reluctant Traveller with Eugene Levy’ (2023– )
‘The Reluctant Traveller with Eugene Levy’ is a fun and engaging travel show where Eugene Levy steps outside his usual routine to discover interesting places around the world. It premiered on Apple TV+ in 2023 and is made in the UK. Each episode combines a taste of local culture with guided tours that focus on food, history, and traditions, making it suitable for viewers of all ages – it’s rated TV-PG.
6. ‘Ted Lasso’ (2020–2023)
Ted Lasso is a comedy series about an American football coach who takes on the challenge of managing a professional soccer club in England. Over three seasons, the show follows the team, AFC Richmond, as they work to improve both their performance on the field and the dynamics within the club. Premiering in August 2020, new seasons were released in 2021 and 2023. The show stars Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, and Brett Goldstein, and quickly became one of Apple TV+’s most popular shows. You can stream all episodes now.
5. ‘Loot’ (2022– )
The comedy series ‘Loot’ follows billionaire Molly Wells (played by Maya Rudolph) as she steps back into the public eye by leading her charitable foundation after a very public divorce. The show, which also stars Michaela Jaé Rodriguez and Joel Kim Booster, first aired in 2022 and returned for a second season in 2024. A third season began on October 15, 2025, with new episodes released weekly. ‘Loot’ is a production of Universal Television and Apple Studios, and the latest season features guest appearances by Henry Winkler.
4. ‘Invasion’ (2021– )
The Apple TV+ series ‘Invasion’ tells the story of an alien invasion from around the world, following different characters and storylines across many countries and languages. Created by Simon Kinberg and David Weil, it premiered in October 2021. The show features a large cast and jumps between different viewpoints each episode. After releasing several episodes at once initially, new seasons have been released weekly.
3. ‘Slow Horses’ (2022– )
I’m a huge fan of ‘Slow Horses’! It’s based on the brilliant Slough House novels by Mick Herron, and it follows this group of MI5 agents who’ve messed up and ended up in a sort of career purgatory. Gary Oldman is incredible as Jackson Lamb, their cynical and sharp-tongued boss, and Kristin Scott Thomas is fantastic too. The best part is, they keep making more! New seasons come out pretty regularly – Season 5 is coming in September 2025, and they’ve already greenlit at least a seventh! They usually release a few episodes at once, then drop the rest weekly, which is perfect for keeping you hooked. Honestly, production seems to be going really well, and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
2. ‘The Last Frontier’ (2025)
“The Last Frontier” is a thrilling series about a U.S. Marshal in Alaska who has to track down dangerous escaped prisoners after a plane crash causes a jailbreak near Fairbanks. Starring Jason Clarke, Dominic Cooper, and Alfre Woodard, the show was created by Jon Bokenkamp and Richard D’Ovidio. It premiered on October 10, 2025, with new episodes released weekly until early December. Apple Studios produced the series, and filming took place mainly in Canada.
1. ‘The Morning Show’ (2019–2025)
As a critic, I’ve been following ‘The Morning Show’ closely, and it’s a fascinating look behind the cameras of a major breakfast television program. The show really dives into the complicated relationships and power struggles between the anchors, producers, and executives, especially when a crisis hits or the network goes through changes. You’ve got big names like Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon leading the charge, and recent seasons have added Jon Hamm and Marion Cotillard to the mix – talk about star power! Produced by Apple Studios, it’s become a fall tradition with new seasons dropping regularly, and we can expect a fourth in 2025. What I appreciate most is how it mixes the everyday office drama with ripped-from-the-headlines stories, all while exploring how the network itself is changing.
