The Little Mermaid Star Halle Bailey Reveals She Broke Her Veganism After 13 Years Because Of THIS Reason

As a dedicated follower of Halle Bailey’s journey, I am truly inspired by her honesty and vulnerability. Her experiences during pregnancy and postpartum have given me a newfound respect for her strength and resilience.

Halle Bailey openly discussed the changes in her diet during her pregnancy with her and boyfriend DDG’s first child, Halo. She explained that she made these adjustments to ensure he received “essential nutrients.

During her Instagram Live broadcast (which was later picked up by The Shade Room), Bailey discussed the topic while simultaneously enjoying a meal and engaging with her fans.

She told the audience that after she showed off her cooking talent a little bit, fans started asking her if she still followed a vegan lifestyle. She answered that that was not the case anymore and shared that it was because she began craving meat when she was carrying her child.

The lead singer of Do It disclosed that she had been a vegan for 13 years, but when her body began craving meat, she chose to fulfill its needs at that moment because, during her challenging pregnancy, she felt it was important to do so, as well as ensuring her child Halo received the necessary nutrients and care.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I must confess that I predominantly opt for a vegan diet, savoring its rich flavors and nutritional benefits most of the time. Yet, there are moments when a craving for chicken arises, at which point I indulge. However, these instances are few and far between, as my meat consumption is limited.

The actress from The Little Mermaid shared her thoughts on the common practice among vegans to temporarily abandon their diet during pregnancy. She commented, “I discovered that numerous women similar to myself, who had been vegan for many years, would alter their lifestyle when they became pregnant. It was almost as if being vegan was no longer an option.

She has been unfiltered about her beautiful journey, including the postpartum experience. According to People magazine, during a previous Instagram live session, she shared that she felt “triggered” after reading online comments about her family.

The artist from The Ungodly Hour acknowledged that prior to becoming a parent, she’d casually listen to others discuss postpartum experiences. However, the gravity of it never truly resonated with her until she personally experienced its intensity.

Bailey conveyed that the current situation seems “as if you’re navigating a vast sea filled with the largest waves you’ve ever encountered, striving hard not to get overwhelmed by them, and simultaneously seeking moments of respite.

Additionally, she shared with her followers a reminder: although people might idolize specific personalities, assuming they’ve got everything perfectly in order, the truth is that no one can fully grasp another person’s struggles, particularly those who have recently given birth.
