The Last of Us Season 2 Introduces New Infected Being Called ‘Stalker’; Find Out its Special Characteristics For Bella Ramsey Starrer

This article contains spoilers for The Last of Us season 2, episode 1.

It appears that The Last of Us Season 2 promises a lot of thrilling elements in its narrative. In the initial episode alone, the series unveils a chilling and unsettling infected creature, keeping viewers gripped with anticipation.

Initially, in their first outing of the new season, characters Dina, portrayed by Isabela Merced, and Ellie, played by Bella Ramsey, join other residents of the Jackson community on a patrol. Later, they choose to venture off and investigate an old, deserted marketplace instead.

Downstairs on the store floor, Ellie unintentionally tumbles through the ceiling after a slip. She soon realizes she’s not the only one there – another presence, either animate or inanimate, is also present. That presence turns out to be the infected being.

The producers skillfully crafted suspense by incorporating chilling imagery of the monster. Initially, the contaminated creature scuttles along the shelves in the backdrop, and later, the main character of the series starts trailing it across the store.

In due course, Dina takes aim at the monster, and the scene shifts to Ellie, who is struggling to relay their experience to Tommy and the council.

Tommy asks Ellie, “So you’re implying that it was intelligent, right?” She responds, “I’m not suggesting it can solve equations or anything, but it didn’t charge at me. Instead, it acted as we do – hid, strategized, waited, tempted, pursued.

As stated by GamesRadar, the Stalker is a character that hails from The Last of Us video game series.

According to IGN, Stalkers are more covert than other phases of contamination due to their limited fungal expansion, which suggests they’re still in the initial stages of the infection’s development. They conceal themselves and lie in wait to surprise their prey, making them elusive to detect and challenging to eliminate.
