The trailer, set to the catchy tune of Sabrina Carpenter’s “Please Please Please,” suggests that things aren’t always what they seem. Millie hopes for a new beginning when she takes a job as a live-in maid for the wealthy Winchester family. However, she soon realizes something is wrong within the family, largely due to the behavior of Nina, played by Seyfried.
The trailer builds tension as it reveals Nina’s erratic behavior, showing her rapidly changing moods. In one moment, she’s screaming and throwing objects at Millie, and the next, she’s calmly asking Millie to be more careful. The trailer becomes even more frightening when we see Nina holding what appears to be a broken piece of glass covered in blood. We also see her standing near police lights. The trailer ends with Sweeney, covered in blood, declaring she desperately needs a sandwich.
