Hulu offers a wide variety of shows, including reality competitions, classic soap operas, and new dramas. You can find episodes as soon as they air on TV, or watch entire series. To help you decide what to watch, here’s a quick guide to each show, covering its plot, the people involved – like the cast and creators – the production companies, and how it connects to any existing series or universe.
We’re listing these from number 10 down to number 1, giving you a brief overview of each story and listing the main people involved – both the actors and the crew – so you can quickly find something you like and know who created it.
10. ‘The Floor’ (2024– )
“The Floor” is a fast-paced trivia competition show on Hulu created by John de Mol and hosted by Rob Lowe. The show features many contestants battling each other on a giant LED floor made up of different categories. Players challenge opponents in quick trivia matches to win spaces on the floor and move closer to a big cash prize.
Each hour-long episode of this series, created by Eureka Productions and Talpa, is filmed on a large set with multiple cameras, and features dramatic sudden-death rounds to resolve ties. The show follows competitors through a tournament-style format, with returning champions making appearances. You can stream current and past episodes on Hulu.
9. ‘Project Runway’ (2004– )
“Project Runway” is a reality TV show where aspiring fashion designers compete by creating clothes for runway shows. Each week, they face timed challenges and specific design themes, and a panel of judges decides who gets eliminated. The latest season airs on Freeform and is available to stream on Hulu the next day. Heidi Klum is back as the host and lead judge, joined by Nina Garcia and Law Roach, while Christian Siriano guides the designers as their mentor.
This reality competition series follows designers as they create full collections, culminating in a final runway show. Winners receive prizes like money, guidance from industry professionals, and chances to be featured in magazines. A panel of judges, including experts from fashion, film, and music, evaluate the designers’ work.
8. ‘General Hospital’ (1963– )
‘General Hospital’ is a popular daytime drama that has been on ABC for many years. Set in the town of Port Charles, the show follows multiple families and explores themes of medicine, law, crime, and everyday life. Created by Frank and Doris Hursley, it features both familiar faces and new characters.
This show, created by ABC and overseen by executive producer Frank Valentini, airs new episodes on weekdays. A team of head writers crafts the storylines, and experienced directors bring them to life. Over thousands of episodes, the show has featured a talented cast including Genie Francis, Maurice Benard, Finola Hughes, Laura Wright, and many more.
7. ‘The Lowdown’ (2025– )
As a movie and TV lover, I’m really excited about ‘The Lowdown’! It’s a new neo-noir series created by Sterlin Harjo, and it’s set in Tulsa, which already sounds cool. Ethan Hawke is playing a journalist who’s investigating some shady stuff happening in town, and the cast is incredible – Keith David, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Kyle MacLachlan, and Tim Blake Nelson are all involved. The best part? You can stream new episodes on Hulu the day after they air on FX.
This series, created by FX Productions, combines real-life investigations with compelling character stories rooted in the history of the region. Each episode benefits from a rotating team of writers and directors, all guided by Harjo’s vision. Filmed on location in Oklahoma, the show features a distinctive visual style and music that enhance its mysterious, detective-like atmosphere.
6. ‘Only Murders in the Building’ (2021– )
I’m absolutely hooked on ‘Only Murders in the Building’! It’s a really funny mystery created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman. Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez are brilliant as these neighbors – Charles, Oliver, and Mabel – who end up investigating deaths in their apartment building. What’s even cooler is they document their investigations by making a true-crime podcast *within* the show! It’s produced by 20th Television, and I can’t recommend it enough.
Every season features a brand new mystery and introduces new characters, while also continuing the stories of our main three and the people they live with. Each episode is made by a combination of familiar and new directors and writers, and is connected to the season’s overall puzzle through original music, podcast-style sounds, and repeating themes.
5. ‘Alien: Earth’ (2025)
FX’s new series, ‘Alien: Earth’, is a live-action prequel to the ‘Alien’ movies. Created by Noah Hawley and with Ridley Scott as an executive producer, the show stars Sydney Chandler and Timothy Olyphant, along with Alex Lawther, Essie Davis, and several other talented actors. You can watch new episodes streaming on Hulu in the United States.
I’m so excited about this new series! It’s being made by some really talented people at FX and Scott Free, and it dives deep into the science behind the world, as well as the ethical questions around creating synthetic humans. What I think is really cool is how it sets up the bigger conflicts we’ll see later on. They didn’t cut any corners with production either – it was filmed in multiple locations with a really cinematic feel, amazing stunts and effects, and a fantastic original score that builds on everything we already love about the franchise.
4. ‘Dancing with the Stars’ (2005– )
‘Dancing with the Stars’ is a show where celebrities team up with professional dancers to perform ballroom and Latin dances. Judges and viewers score each performance, and weekly eliminations lead to a final competition. Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough host the show, while Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli serve as judges. You can watch new episodes live on ABC or stream them the next day on Hulu.
I absolutely love this show! It’s created by BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions, and every episode is packed with fun themes, big group dances, and surprise musical performances. Of course, the ultimate prize is that stunning Mirrorball Trophy! What really amazes me is everything that goes *into* making it happen – the professional choreography, the behind-the-scenes glimpses at rehearsals, and the incredible live production with all the cameras, lights, and music – it’s a huge undertaking!
3. ‘Reasonable Doubt’ (2022– )
“Reasonable Doubt” is a legal drama series on Hulu created by Raamla Mohamed. It stars Emayatzy Corinealdi as Jax Stewart, a successful defense attorney in Los Angeles. The show also features a talented cast including McKinley Freeman, Tim Jo, Angela Grovey, Thaddeus J. Mixson, Aderinsola Olabode, Michael Ealy, Morris Chestnut, and Joseph Sikora. The legal cases Jax handles often become intertwined with her own complex personal life.
This series is a production of Good Home Training, Simpson Street, Wilmore Films, and ABC Signature, created for Onyx Collective. Raamla Mohamed and Kerry Washington are executive producers. Each episode features a unique legal case, while the larger season explores ongoing storylines with former clients and intense legal battles, all guided by a changing team of directors and writers.
2. ‘High Potential’ (2024– )

Daniel Sunjata stars alongside her as Detective Adam Karadec, and the cast also includes Judy Reyes, Javicia Leslie, Deniz Akdeniz, Amirah J, and Matthew Lamb.
Created for American television by Drew Goddard, with contributions from several producers at ABC Signature and 20th Television, the show combines self-contained investigations with an ongoing story about the main character’s family. Different writers and directors work on each episode, creating intricate plots while also focusing on the characters and how their personal lives connect to the bigger cases they’re solving.
1. ‘The Golden Bachelor’ (2023– )
‘The Golden Bachelor’ is a version of ‘The Bachelor’ featuring a lead who is over 60 and dates a group of women his age. The show follows the same format as the original, with group dates, individual dates, and rose ceremonies. Hosted by Jesse Palmer, it airs on ABC and is available to stream on Hulu the next day.
