‘The Fantastic Four’: John Malkovich’s Unexpected Role Might Have Been Revealed

As a seasoned gamer and comic book enthusiast with over two decades of experience under my belt, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming release of Fantastic Four: First Steps. Having grown up with these characters, their adventures have become an integral part of my life, much like a trusted sidekick or a reliable gaming partner.

As a diehard Marvel fan and gamer, I can’t contain my excitement for “Fantastic Four: First Steps” – the highly anticipated movie dropping on July 25, 2025! Leaked set glimpses suggest that they’re going all out to stay true to the source material.

In this reimagined universe, the Fantastic Four have long been a recognized superhero team. The storyline will introduce several of their iconic adversaries.

In the lineup for “First Steps“, Pedro Pascal takes on Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby plays Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn is cast as Johnny Storm, while Ebon Moss-Bachrach assumes Ben Grimm’s character, with Moss-Bachrach’s role being brought to life using computer-generated imagery (CGI). Julia Garner steps into the shoes of Shalla-Bal, the MCU’s version of Silver Surfer, and Ralph Ineson is set to bring Galactus, one of Marvel’s formidable antagonists, to life on screen.

Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, and Natasha Lyonne have been added to the cast for unspecified roles, while there’s anticipation that Mole Man might make an appearance too. There are whispers that Robert Downey Jr. could make a surprise cameo as Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom during the end credits scene.

Initially, people assumed that John Malkovich would portray the Puppet Master due to his physical appearance in the role. However, as per Charles Murphy from Murphy’s Multiverse, it appears that Malkovich will instead be playing Ivan Kragoff – a Marvel Comics villain infamously known as the Red Ghost.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’d say I’m this guy, a character hailing from Russia, named Kragoff. After being exposed to some cosmic rays, much like the Fantastic Four, I’ve got these extraordinary abilities up my sleeve. But here’s where it gets interesting – I’ve got three super-smart apes, not your average primates, mind you. They go by Nameless, Zorba, and Mik-Em. These guys are more than just helpers; they’re my partners in crime, aiding me with my sinister plans.

We’re eagerly anticipating the upcoming trailer for the film, as it may shed light on his character’s part. However, at present, all we have are rumors and speculations. It’s uncertain when the trailer will be released, but we’re hoping to catch a glimpse of fresh footage during the D23 Brazil “special look” this weekend. Even if it doesn’t get posted online later, we should still gather some new insights about the movie.
