As a long-time Marvel Comics fan and someone who has followed the Fantastic Four’s journey since their inception, I couldn’t be more thrilled to finally see them join the MCU. The anticipation for this film has been building for years, and after the disappointing attempts in the past, it feels like we’re on the cusp of something truly special.
The Fantastic Four hold the title of Marvel Comics’ original “First Family,” and their MCU debut has been eagerly anticipated following a pair of mid-2000s films with mediocre reception and a failed 2015 reboot. Marvel enthusiasts have remained hopeful for the iconic team to join the MCU, and now, their wait is finally over. At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios unveiled an exclusive sneak peek trailer for The Fantastic Four: Beginnings, marking the start of film production on July 30, immediately following SDCC.
Here are some iconic heroes from the ’60s, including Mister Fantastic, who shares his knowledge with children. The whole team makes a regular appearance in space, donning astronaut suits for thrilling intergalactic journeys.
As a long-time fan of comic books and superhero movies, I’m absolutely thrilled about the new Fantastic Four cast! With Pedro Pascal bringing Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic to life, Vanessa Kirby embodying Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn capturing the essence of Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach delivering a compelling performance as Ben Grimm, the Thing, this team is shaping up to be truly formidable.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps will hit theaters on July 25, 2025.
