The Entertainment System Is Down: Director Ruben Östlund Begins With Principal Photography

In my enthusiasm, I’d like to share that I’m eagerly anticipating “The Entertainment System,” a film masterfully directed by Ruben Östlund. The most exciting news is that the main filming has commenced!

Based on information from Deadline, Ruben Östlund recently started filming, which is currently taking place in Budapest.

The film under consideration is actually a dark satire, portraying the struggles of being in an unprecedented flight situation. As reported by the source, the narrative revolves around passengers stranded on a prolonged flight departing from England and heading to Australia. Notably, the in-flight entertainment system malfunctions during the flight, leaving the passengers with little to do but become restless. Although it might appear as an ordinary storyline, the movie delves into horror territory, using psychological elements to explore the fear of boredom.

According to reports, the opening event for “The Entertainment System is Down” is scheduled to take place in Budapest, Hungary, spanning approximately 70 days. This event will start in January and conclude in May of this year.

Additionally, to capture everyone’s interest, the production created the set centered around an authentic Boeing 747, which was specially transported for use in the filming of this project.

New information indicates that Daniel Webber, Wayne Blair, and Connor Swindells are set to join the cast for the upcoming movie titled The Entertainment System is Down. Previously announced actors who will be featured in this film include Benjamin Ingrosso (a Swedish artist), Lindsay Duncan, Sofia Tjelta Sydness, Dan Wyllie, Allan Corduner, Myles Kamwendo, Sanna Sundqvist, Tea Stjärne, and Erin Ainsworth.

Earlier news revealed a stellar cast for the upcoming movie, with Keanu Reeves, Daniel Brühl, and Kirsten Dunst joined by Nicholas Braun, Samantha Morton, and Tobias Menzies.
