Essentially, this updated version is the same game that was launched in 2006 on PC and Xbox 360. Consequently, many dedicated Oblivion players were unaware of the Adventurer aspect until they learned about it through The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.
In a Reddit post, one Elder Scrolls enthusiast mentioned that they’ve been replaying Oblivion at least once a year since 2013, but it wasn’t until the recent remaster that they came across an NPC adventurer for the first time while playing. It’s worth mentioning that this interaction isn’t something fresh or unexpected; it has been recognized since the initial game launch. However, the high engagement of the post – making it one of the most popular on the Oblivion subreddit – indicates that many players were unaware of the existence of this non-player character (NPC). In addition, some believed there was only a single instance of this character, and they were taken aback to learn there are multiple Adventurers in the game.

I’ve been playing since 2007, and as far as I know, the only adventurer I’m familiar with is the Orc Adventurer who shows up in different armor levels across Cyrodiil. Is this a new one?
