The Dragon and Tortoise Challenge Stage 5

Video Showcase

General Strategy

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent navigating the digital battlefields of Blue Archive, I must say that Challenge Stage 5 is a formidable foe indeed! The Genryumon students and their debuff-infused onslaught have me dancing on the edge of my seat.

Stage 5 primarily focuses on the Genryumon students participating in this round. These students’ assaults cause an enhancement to enemy vulnerability, making them susceptible to greater harm. It’s crucial to note that without this enhancement, enemies would become extraordinarily durable.

As a fan, I’d suggest keeping track of the enemies that the Genryumon students are attacking and whether they have the debuff applied. Once identified, utilizing your EX Skills becomes crucial for dealing damage to those affected enemies. For best results, opt for AoE skills with extended durations to ensure the attack carries over to additional enemies that the Genryumon students target in the upcoming rounds.

In the following, we encounter the RL Automatons, typically capable of overpowering most students in a single attempt and even taking down tanks within two attempts. This is why, for this stage, it’s not advisable to bring a tank due to the challenge of maintaining their survival alongside Genryumon students. However, if you still decide to bring a tank, EVA tanks would be the suggested choice as they have a better chance of dodging the RL Automatons’ attacks.

To clarify, you’re not obligated to achieve a 3-star clear and a 90-second clear simultaneously during the same attempt. Feel free to focus on one initially and then tackle the other in a separate run if needed.

Team Building

For stage 5, it’s essential to construct your squad with students from Genryumon. It’s advisable to include an Area of Effect (AoE) healer like Koharu or Ayane to ensure their survival. Unlike other stages, a tank might not be effective due to the Rocket Launcher Automaton which can easily eliminate them in one or two shots. For dealing damage, it would be beneficial to have one AoE Explosive damage dealer to handle the initial wave of enemies as they wear Light armor. Then, you’ll want an Area of Effect and Single Target (ST) damage dealer with Piercing capabilities to take care of the remaining enemies.
