I can’t help but make sure I catch “The Devil Wears Prada” whenever it airs on TV, as it’s an undeniable classic! The character developments, like Andy’s rise to fashion stardom and Miranda’s biting remarks, are timeless. With a sequel in the works, set to premiere around 2024, there’s a strong chance we’ll see Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, and director David Frankel reprising their roles. If Anne returns as Andy, the future queen of Genovia, it will be an exciting turn of events indeed!
As I eagerly look forward to next year, I can’t help but think about “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” set for release on May 1, 2026. However, there’s no word yet on who’ll be gracing the screen alongside Anne Hathaway as Priestly. As per Variety, this sequel seems to follow Priestly as she maneuvers her career in an industry grappling with the decline of traditional magazine publishing. It looks like she’ll face off against Andy, now a powerful executive for a luxury group, whose advertising dollars could be just what Priestly needs to stay afloat.
Besides screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna potentially writing the script, producer Wendy Finerman might be involved as well. The sequel for “The Devil Wears Prada” is currently in development at Disney, though they are not revealing any casting details just yet. So, we’ll have to stay tuned for updates on the project.
