The first look at The Devil Wears Prada 2 doesn’t reveal much about the plot, but it definitely captures the mood: expect plenty of drama, glamour, and witty banter – and honestly, that’s all we need! An official announcement confirms that Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci are all returning as Miranda, Andy, Emily, and Nigel, respectively. The sequel picks up almost twenty years later, bringing them back to the world of Runway magazine in New York City. Fans will also be happy to see Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman reprising their roles as Lily and Irv. What’s more, David Frankel, who directed the original, and writer Aline Brosh McKenna are both back to work on the sequel.
The sequel to The Devil Wears Prada will feature some fresh additions to the cast alongside returning favorites. New actors joining the film include Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, B.J. Novak, and Conrad Ricamora. While these new characters aren’t shown in the first trailer, fans are looking forward to seeing their performances.
