On May 8, 2025, during an unexpected encounter at Titan, Xander inquires of Johnny whether he’s given further consideration to becoming part of the company. Xander was hoping for a DiMera family member without any contentious ties to the Kiriakis clan.
It seems to me that Johnny thinks he might have been given a job as retaliation against EJ. If true, Johnny expressed his readiness to accept it. However, at that moment, Xander didn’t disclose the specifics of the position, but it certainly piqued Johnny’s curiosity.
Meanwhile, Cat and Chad cross paths at the town square. Chad informs her that her planned date with EJ has been cancelled and a new one with him is arranged instead. Later, Johnny joins them, and Chad shares his father’s apprehension about seeing Johnny. Unable to forgive EJ at that moment, Johnny conveys this to Chad.
As I continued to grapple with my feelings towards Johnny, Abe opened up about his and Lexie’s experience of letting go of Issac. Though it was a difficult time for them, they managed to heal. However, the thought of my situation healing with Johnny seemed impossible to me. A lingering doubt gnawed at me – could it be that Johnny was the one who took EJ away from us?

In this episode, as Xander and Sarah enjoy their scones in the town square, Sarah suddenly begins to choke and cough violently. Panicked, Xander quickly requests a bystander to dial 911, but Sarah appears unable to catch her breath.
