‘The Town’ (2010)

Directed by and starring Ben Affleck, this thrilling crime story is set in Boston and based on the novel ‘Prince of Thieves’. It centers around a group of bank robbers whose latest heist goes wrong when they encounter an innocent bystander. The film first premiered at the Venice Film Festival and was released in the U.S. in September 2010, receiving positive reviews and award nominations, including praise for Jeremy Renner’s performance.

‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ (2017)

The second ‘Kingsman’ movie brings together the British Kingsman agents and their American allies, Statesman. Directed by Matthew Vaughn and starring Taron Egerton, Colin Firth, Julianne Moore, Halle Berry, and Pedro Pascal, the 2017 film earned over $400 million globally. It’s the follow-up to ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’ and comes before the prequel, ‘The King’s Man’.

‘Weapons’ (2025)

I was so excited when Zach Cregger’s horror movie finally hit theaters in August 2025! It was amazing to see Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, and Alden Ehrenreich all in one film. It actually did really well, becoming the number one movie domestically when it opened and earning a lot of money worldwide. Then, thankfully, Max started streaming it in October, so even more people could enjoy it after its great run in cinemas.

‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ (2024)

Set years after Caesar’s reign, the film centers on Noa, a young ape who embarks on a journey that makes him question everything he thought he knew about apes and humans. As the newest installment in the popular ‘Planet of the Apes’ series, it introduces fresh faces and locations, with a cast including Owen Teague, Kevin Durand, and Peter Macon. Released in 2024, the movie continues the rebooted storyline.

‘Materialists’ (2025)

This romantic comedy, written and directed by Celine Song, is set in New York City and centers around a professional matchmaker. Starring Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans, and Pedro Pascal, the film is currently scheduled for release in 2025, and details about its production are available publicly. It’s Song’s second feature film, following the success of her first.

‘National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation’ (1989)

‘Vegas Vacation,’ the third film in the ‘Vacation’ series, follows the hilariously disastrous holiday adventures of the Griswold family, this time closer to home. Starring Chevy Chase, Beverly D’Angelo, and Randy Quaid, and written by John Hughes with direction from Jeremiah S. Chechik, the Warner Bros. release was the most successful ‘Vacation’ movie for many years. It’s become a popular choice for holiday viewing on television and through home video.

‘The Polar Express’ (2004)

I absolutely loved this movie! It’s based on a beautiful children’s book and tells the story of a boy who gets on a special train heading to the North Pole – it’s truly magical. I first saw it at a film festival, and Warner Bros. released it in theaters back in 2004. What’s really amazing is how they made the characters – it used some incredible technology at the time to bring them to life. It’s become a classic, and it’s great that it continues to be enjoyed by audiences all over the world, earning even more fans with each re-release!

‘Eddington’ (2025)

This thrilling story takes place in a small New Mexico town where a disagreement between the sheriff and the mayor quickly spirals into a major community conflict. As local politics heat up, the town is divided, and neighbors turn against each other. It’s a feature film scheduled for release in 2025, with details currently available in industry listings. The film’s title is also the name of the town where the story is set.

‘Elf’ (2003)

Jon Favreau directed this popular Christmas comedy, starring Will Ferrell as Buddy, along with James Caan and Zooey Deschanel. The film tells the story of a man raised at the North Pole who goes to New York City to find his real father. Released by New Line Cinema, it was a big hit in theaters and later became a Broadway musical and a TV special.

The Conjuring: Last Rites’ (2025)

The newest film in ‘The Conjuring Universe’ concludes the main story of Ed and Lorraine Warren’s investigations. Released by Warner Bros. in 2025, it quickly became the most successful movie in the series globally, opening in U.S. cinemas on September 5th. This installment builds upon the world established in the original 2013 film and ties into the other films like ‘Annabelle’ and ‘The Nun’.
