Although it won’t break records set by past September hits like It: Chapter One ($123.4 million) or The Nun ($53.8 million), it is projected to deliver a solid performance. Notably, Warner Bros. has traditionally dominated the post-Labor Day horror genre, and audiences are eagerly awaiting a grand finale.
Instead of Last Rites, which came out during Warner Bros.’ simultaneous release on HBO Max like The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, it will have a traditional cinema premiere, enhancing its prospects to reclaim the franchise’s initial box office success.
