The Brady Bunch Alum Barry Williams Recalls How All The Young Cast ‘Hooked Up With Each Other’ Offscreen

As a devoted fan of The Brady Bunch, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgic delight when diving into the personal lives of my beloved TV family. The revelation that the young cast members found love within their own ranks is not just fascinating, but it adds an enchanting layer to the show that I never knew existed!

In the 1960s, the popular television series “The Brady Bunch” rose to fame and became known in many homes. Over five successful seasons, this sitcom centered around the humorous escapades of a large family formed when a widower and a widow decided to marry. As depicted, the show followed the blended family, consisting of Brady, a widowed architect with three children, and Carol, a woman with three daughters, as they navigated life together, transforming a group of misfits into a united family.

During an interview with US Weekly, Barry Williams, known for his role as Greg on the show, shared that the young cast members often dated the same people. He said, “At some point or another, we all dated each other, not necessarily during the filming.

In a surprising confession, it was disclosed that the actor had romantic relationships with several actors from “The Brady Bunch” cast. Specifically, he dated Maureen McCormick, who portrayed the oldest daughter, and Chris Knight, the character playing the middle son. Additionally, he developed a connection with Eve Plum, the actress representing the family’s second daughter. Last but not least, it was revealed that Michael Lookinland, who played Bobby, the youngest son, and Susan Olsen, who portrayed Cindy, the youngest daughter, were involved off-screen as well.

Regardless of any offscreen romantic involvements, Williams maintained a deep affection for Florence Henderson, who portrayed his mother Carol on the show. In fact, in his 1992 autobiography, Growing Up Brady: I Was a Teenage Greg, he openly discussed his significant crush on his older co-star.

In addition, the actor shared insights about his outing with Henderson, which he referred to as a date. As he happened upon a singer at the Copacabana close to Beverly Hills, he invited the actress to accompany him. She agreed, and so he was overjoyed. For him, it was now officially a date, he concluded.

Despite being amidst a large group of people, they were identified and there were hushed conversations about them. Williams found it unusual but discussed the musician, mentioning their orchestrations and band. He also shared that the date ended with an idea of what their life might be like now. The actor, on the other hand, found the night’s best moment in the kiss he shared with Henderson. “I did lean in for a small kiss and she gracefully reciprocated,” he admitted, describing it as a memorable moment.
