In Trigger Warning, players step into the shoes of a new character who stumbles upon a horrifying secret at Vought, turning a normal family day into a brutal fight for survival. They’re then unwillingly given superpowers and must team up with The Boys to get revenge by going undercover at Vought, all while embracing the series’ trademark dark and violent humor. This VR game offers a fresh story set within the familiar world fans already enjoy, combining stealth and action-packed combat.

Erik Kripke, the showrunner for The Boys, and the show’s writers helped develop the game. Several actors from the series will return to their roles, including Laz Alonso as Mother’s Milk, Colby Minifie as Ashley Barrett, and P.J. Byrne as Adam Bourke. Jensen Ackles will also appear as Soldier Boy, but this version of the character is unique to the game.

Ricardo Justus from Arvore’s explained that the show’s often violent scenes feel even more impactful in VR because the technology makes you feel like you’re actually there. This raises the question of just how realistic the game makes the show’s most shocking moments. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait long to find out, as Trigger Warning is scheduled for release in 2026.
