‘The Boys’ Producers Had to Edit Out One Character’s Huge P***s from the Series

As a hardcore fan of The Boys who has been following the series since its inception, I can honestly say that the behind-the-scenes stories are just as entertaining as the show itself! The infamous bulging b***r incident involving The Deep is one such story that never fails to crack me up.

The last episode of “The Boys” season 4, broadcast on July 18, 2024, was mind-blowing that fans needed time to digest and recover from the outrageous insanity it presented on screen. Starting on June 13, 2024, “The Boys” season 4 ran for five weeks until its finale, as previously mentioned. The series received a ‘Certified Fresh’ rating and garnered such impressive viewership that it can be considered a massive success.

Simultaneously, there’s ongoing enthusiasm among viewers for the series, prompting us to keep sharing fresh updates, even if they delve into past events from the program’s early seasons. This particular piece takes a look back to the very first season of The Boys, highlighting the audacity of the cast and crew in creating such an exceptional show, detailing the significant work that went into its development.

The story in question concerns one major character from the franchise as a whole, a character who is often a source of mockery, but he made both the Amazon execs and the showrunners sweat during Season 1 with one epic moment of comedy brilliance!

As a gamer, I found myself being the source of a snag during the filming of an official Amazon calendar released in 2019. The hiccup stemmed from my character’s actions, and it was so significant that the crew had to tweak the original photo (which I’ll share with you momentarily). While most shots didn’t raise any concerns, this one particular instance caused quite a stir.

Surprisingly, the figure in question goes by two names: The Deep, or Kevin Moskowitz. A hasty glance might make you overlook it, but if you scrutinize the image more closely, you’ll notice that The Deep is prominently displaying a notably large chest muscle, not just a bulging one, but one that stands out significantly.

In the TV series, it’s claimed that The Deep character is well-equipped. However, an image was intended to demonstrate this fact. Interestingly, Chace Crawford wore a prosthetic penis for this photoshoot, which unexpectedly resulted in a hilarious situation. When Amazon executives saw this, they were reportedly enraged.

According to Showrunner Eric Kripke, there were no suggestions from Amazon initially, but the very first note we received was a firm request to remove a particular scene, as it wasn’t suitable for inclusion in our project. Consequently, we had to make the necessary edits.

Absolutely, the computer-generated imagery team had their hands full on this occasion, but they managed to create a humorous scene that we’re thrilled to share as part of the story we’ve presented for your enjoyment!
