As a follower, I’m excited to share that the journey with “The Boys” is nearing its conclusion, but the universe of this captivating series is expanding even more. Soon, another live-action spinoff titled “Vought Rising” will premiere on Prime Video. Unlike “Gen V,” this time we delve into the past. “Vought Rising” will reveal how the influential global corporation, Vought, constructed its superhero empire at the expense of innocent lives. The series will introduce two characters who first appeared in “The Boys.” Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy and Aya Cash’s Stormfront (originally known as Liberty), initially introduced as Nazi and the first Vought superhuman, will lead the cast. Recently, Amazon has unveiled five new actors joining the cast of “Vought Rising,” ready to immerse themselves in the dark world of bad superheroes.
Five new actors, Jorden Myrie from “Sherwood”, Nicolò Pasetti from “The Last Voyage of the Demeter”, Ricky Staffieri from “The Bear”, and Brian J. Smith known for “SENSE8”, have joined the cast of Vought Rising. These actors will be series regulars in the show, along with Will Hochman and Elizabeth Posey who were previously announced as stars.
The studio hasn’t disclosed the character identities or roles for the actors joining the cast of its upcoming series, Vought Rising. Given that it’s set in the 1950s, it’s challenging to predict who might be portraying whom. This is well before Soldier Boy led the team Payback, which we saw in a flashback on The Boys. However, it’s fairly certain that some of these actors will embody arrogant, immoral characters injected with Compound V, wreaking havoc on the public with minimal repercussions for their vile actions. Others might portray scientists and corporate executives at Vought International, a company so sinister it seems authentic. And perhaps, just perhaps, one or two of these new cast members will bring to life characters who are genuinely good in Vought Rising, striving to thwart an unstoppable monster.
While we acknowledge that these predictions may not be groundbreaking, given the universe of “The Boys”, some constants will always remain. We’re eagerly anticipating delving into the new characters and cast of “Vought Rising” and uncovering what awaits us all in the upcoming prequel series of “The Boys”.
