Amazon has unveiled the first promotional posters for the fifth and final season of The Boys, starting the marketing campaign before the show premieres in 2026.
The latest posters feature Homelander and Billy Butcher, hinting at a violent and decisive final showdown as their years-long rivalry reaches its peak.

What Happened in Season 4
Season 4 left the entire world in chaos.
With the rise of radical supes, Homelander strengthened his control over the country, Victoria Neuman made a serious play for the presidency, and the team known as the Boys fell apart due to Butcher’s deceit and declining health.
The season concluded with a brutal scene of Butcher killing Neuman, and Homelander taking actions that moved the nation closer to military rule.
With Homelander gaining power, the group – Hughie, MM, Frenchie, Kimiko, and Annie – found themselves separated, either captured or forced to hide.

What Season 5 Is About
Season 5 picks up after the fallout of Season 4 and serves as the series finale.
The story will likely focus on a final showdown between Butcher and Homelander, while the remaining members of The Boys attempt to prevent a complete authoritarian takeover.
Showrunner Eric Kripke has already called it apocalyptic, with major character deaths expected.
The recent CCXP presentation made it clear: the series is entering its final stretch in 2026, and it will be a bold, uncompromising conclusion with no holding back.
