As a lifestyle expert with years of experience in the entertainment industry and a firm advocate for women’s safety, I find myself deeply troubled by the recent allegations against Malcolm Barrett. My heart goes out to the woman who has come forward with these accusations, and I wholeheartedly support her bravery in speaking up.
In the spotlight due to allegations, actor Malcolm Barrett, known for his roles in The Boys and Average Joe, is currently under investigation by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department regarding a sexual assault matter.
As reported by TMZ, the authorities stated that a woman claimed she was assaulted by Barrett following a night of drinking together. She alleged that she awoke in his bed without clothes on, discovered him touching her, and accused him of engaging in sexual activity without consent.
According to reports, the woman claims to have known Barrett for around half a year and developed a friendship with him. It is alleged that on the night in question, they were both consuming alcohol at his residence, a place where she asserted she was attacked.
The Special Victims Unit within the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is now handling the investigation following a rape allegation, where a victim was examined using a kit containing evidence-gathering items for sexual assault cases. Yet, Barrett has remained silent regarding these accusations, and no arrests have been made as of yet.
Actor portraying The Preacher has featured in multiple installments of the widely-acclaimed Amazon Studios series “The Boys.” In these episodes, he assumed the role of Seth Reed, a scriptwriter for public relations at Vought International, collaborating with Evan Lambert on various projects.
In the year 2023, Barrett had a chat with The Official Black Magazine about his acting techniques and character selections. He shared back then, “My characters often exhibit uniqueness or eccentric traits, as those qualities reflect my own personality.
In the realm of my acting career before gaining notoriety for my role in “The Boys”, I had the privilege of working alongside Eric Kripke on the science fiction series “Timeless”. There, I embodied the time traveler character Rufus Carlin. Additionally, you might recognize me from roles in shows such as “Average Joe”, “Law & Order”, “The Sopranos”, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”, “Dear White People”, and many more.
