On the popular CBS daytime drama “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Scott Clifton portrays Liam Spencer, a fan-favorite character. Yet, a recent plot twist has sparked anxiety among viewers about his possible departure from the show.
In the series, Liam (Clifton) receives a distressing diagnosis of an incurable brain tumor. Despite the emotional upheaval this health crisis has caused among the cast and crew of B&B, Clifton expresses eagerness behind the scenes to portray this difficult tale.
In conversation with Soap Opera Digest, the performer shared his enthusiasm for this specific storyline as it’s a significant responsibility he’s never had before. He also thanked the showrunner Bradley Bell for placing trust in him.
Could it be possible that the storyline might result in Clifton leaving the series? The actor neither confirmed nor denied, instead urging fans to join him on the journey ahead. As he put it, “In acting classes, they often say, ‘Don’t act out the end of the scene.’
Clifton mentioned that he’s been tackling each scene as they arrive without worrying too much about the final outcome. “To the fans, I say, ‘Hey, buddy, we’re on this journey together! I’m right alongside you,” he continued. He also promised the fans that, regardless of where the story goes, it will be handled with great care and consideration. “We truly, deeply care about this,” he added.
After leaving the cast of General Hospital, a competing soap opera on CBS, Clifton subsequently joined The Bold and the Beautiful. When asked about potentially returning to GH should his position on B&B be terminated, he chuckled and stated that he has no intention of revisiting that show.
He mentioned that his focus is on delivering the story as well as possible, which is his top priority.
