The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco Says She Felt Like ‘Life Was Over’ After 2nd Divorce: ‘Couldn’t Even Breathe’

Kaley Cuoco recently discussed her second divorce, which happened in 2022. She was first married to tennis player Ryan Sweeting from 2013 until their divorce in 2016, and then to Karl Cook from 2018 to 2022. On the Drew Barrymore Show, Cuoco talked about how difficult the experience was for her.

Oh my gosh, you guys, Kaley Cuoco was SO vulnerable talking about this! She said that around the time of the Flight Attendant season two premiere – April 2022, can you believe it?! – she was secretly going through her divorce, and it was just…a lot. She actually described waking up the morning of the premiere and being unable to even breathe, just lying there on the floor. It’s heartbreaking to think about her going through all that while trying to promote the show. She’s so strong, but that sounds absolutely awful!

Kaley Cuoco admitted she really struggled to even make it to the event that evening. She needed her team to help her get going, because she felt completely overwhelmed. ‘I honestly thought my life was over,’ she explained.

She described feeling incredibly low and hopeless, worrying she’d never find love or have children, and being unable to function. Recalling a moment when she was at her absolute worst – lying on the floor and realizing this was the lowest she could possibly reach – still brings her to tears. However, she says this difficult experience ultimately transformed her into a stronger person.

Forty-year-old Nicola Peltz has found love with actor Tom Pelphrey, confirming their relationship in May 2022. They welcomed their daughter, Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, on March 30, 2023, and are now engaged.
