THE BEAR Will Serve Its Final Meal with Season 5

Few shows have captivated audiences quite like The Bear. Even though it’s often stressful and chaotic, we’re hooked on the story of Carmy Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), a chef dealing with the challenges of running a restaurant in Chicago. This year, the acclaimed FX series will conclude with its fifth and final season, marking the last time we’ll see Carmy in the kitchen.

Many viewers predicted the ending of The Bear. The show’s creator, Christopher Storer, initially planned a four-season run, which felt like a natural conclusion after the fourth season’s finale, titled “Goodbye,” saw Carmy step away from both the restaurant and cooking. However, FX surprisingly renewed The Bear for a fifth season just a week after season four premiered. Jamie Lee Curtis, who won an Emmy for her role as Carmy and Natalie’s mother, recently discussed the show’s ending in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

She confirmed the show was ending in a comment on an Instagram post from February 17th. ‘Everyone already knows it’s over,’ she wrote. ‘I’m not telling anyone anything new—they’ve known from the start that it would end.’

Okay, so the internet is buzzing! Carmy’s portrayer, Ayo Edebiri, posted with the phrase “FINISHED STRONG,” and fans immediately jumped to the conclusion that The Bear has wrapped up filming. FX isn’t confirming or denying anything, which only adds fuel to the fire. It’s hard to believe, considering how much acclaim this show has received! Over its first three seasons, The Bear snagged an incredible 21 Emmys, including Best Comedy Series last year. And deservedly so – the performances from Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and even Jon Bernthal were all outstanding. It’s a truly special show, and if this is the end, it definitely went out on a high note.

Season five of The Bear is being filmed in and around Chicago and is expected to premiere later this year. This will be the show’s final season, bringing the story to a conclusion.
