Everything we know about The Batman II
A month following the theater release of the 2022 film, it was reported by Deadline that a sequel had been announced.
In the meantime, the latest developments on the new script arrived a few weeks following James Gunn’s request for patience from the audience.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the director of Superman shared, “You know, we’re expecting a script by June. I certainly hope so. We’re feeling quite optimistic about it.
Gunn also stated, “Give Matt some space when it comes to writing screenplays, as he should take as much time as necessary. After all, he doesn’t owe anyone a favor just because they enjoy his films. The appeal of his movies is due to Matt himself, so let him work at his own pace.
The filmmaker went on to express his frustration with persistent interruptions from those bothering the creators. Initially, Gunn asserted that the release of the movie would happen only when he is satisfied with its quality.
Regarding the storyline of the upcoming film, they’ve chosen to keep it a secret. Nevertheless, it has been confirmed that Robert Pattinson will reprise his role as the main character. Additionally, Paul Dano, Zoë Kravitz, Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Wright, and Andy Serkis have signed on to star alongside Pattinson in this DC production.
The Batman II is scheduled to release in theaters on October 1, 2027.
