As an ardent fan, I must say that the idea of Casey Affleck participating in The Bachelor is nothing short of intriguing! Having witnessed his and Matt Damon’s camaraderie over the years, it’s not hard to imagine him stepping out of his comfort zone for a reality TV stint.
It might be fun to imagine Casey Affleck appearing on The Bachelor one day, according to both Matt Damon and Casey themselves when asked about which reality TV show they think each other might participate in if given the opportunity. (The stars of Project Greenlight were the subjects of this question.)
On BuzzFeed UK, Damon and Affleck were interviewed, answering several questions. A query that stood out had one of them, referring to himself as “The Bachelor,” chuckling along with his fellow actor.
Affleck replied, “I’ve pondered over it,” further mentioning, “I contemplated, ‘What a thrill that could be!’ Honestly, I put some serious consideration into it.”
Instead of suggesting that Damon’s guess was good, he implied it would be successful if carried out wholeheartedly by saying, “If you truly gave it your all on there, I believe it would work out.”
Damon stated, “That’s a television event you won’t want to miss.” Later, the actor from A Ghost Story indicated he was interested in participating and even wrote on his whiteboard that he wished to see his co-star on Alone. Conversely, Affleck penned ‘American Idol’ for Damon, hinting at a possible collaboration on this show.
Previously, he made it clear that he had seen Damon participate in numerous talent shows, and American Idol was the one he ultimately chose.
Discussing his appearance on Alone, Damon mentioned that it’s his preferred series and speculated about how long Affleck might survive, whether he could find shelter, sustenance, and even attempt a small hunting excursion.
Affleck stated that he could survive for “four days” if he was part of the series, and he expressed his enthusiasm by saying it would be an “outstanding show. I’m ready to join in.” Notably, both actors have recently appeared on our screens with their new Apple TV+ film, The Instigators, which premiered on August 2nd.
For quite some time now, Damon, Casey, and Ben Affleck, his brother, have been involved in various projects together. In the near future, you can expect Damon and Ben to join forces once more for an upcoming project streaming exclusively on Netflix.
According to Deadline, the project goes by the name RIP and falls under the crime thriller genre. Joe Carnahan is set to direct this venture. Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s production company, Artist Equity, will take charge of producing this upcoming film. At present, details regarding the storyline and its background are yet to be disclosed.
