As a dedicated follower of literature and a strong advocate for women’s rights, I find myself deeply moved by the recent events surrounding Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. Having read Colleen Hoover‘s poignant novel “It Ends With Us,” which is all about love, resilience, and standing up for oneself, it’s heartening to see Hoover extend her support to a fellow strong woman like Blake Lively in the face of adversity.
Colleen Hoover, the writer behind It Ends With Us, publicly backs Blake Lively following allegations of sexual harassment against Justin Baldoni. On her Instagram stories, she posted a picture with Lively from the film’s premiere and commended her for her compassionate nature.
Based on reports from news outlets, Blake Lively alleges that Baldoni behaved inappropriately towards her during the filming of their movie. After receiving her complaint, the producers held a meeting to discuss her concerns and address Baldoni’s actions towards the actress who starred in “Age of Adeline.
Regarding Hoover, the author, she posted a message alongside a picture with Lively that read, “@blakelively, you’ve been nothing but honest, kind, supportive, and patient since our first encounter.” She also penned, “Thank you for staying true to yourself. Always remain genuine. Never lose your spirit.
The movie “It Ends With Us” was one of the most eagerly awaited films this year. After its August premiere, it’s been generating buzz in the media. Prior to its release, a dispute among the actors had temporarily kept it out of the spotlight.
In the grievance filed by the actress against Baldoni, certain conditions were incorporated, such as a prohibition on further spontaneous kissing. It also specified that no more inappropriate, physical contact or sexually suggestive remarks from Mr. Baldoni or Mr. Heath should be allowed towards Blake Lively and/or her team, nor any female cast or crew members unless they explicitly agree to it.
As per reports, it was claimed that Baldoni had agreed to the terms set by the actress. However, in response to People Magazine, the lawyer for the actor-director stated that the accusations made by the former Gossip Girl star are “unfounded, excessively sensational, and deliberately malicious with the intent to cause public harm.
In her ongoing grievances, Lively expressed that she had endured feelings of sorrow, dread, distress, and intense worry as a result of her co-star’s actions during the movie production.
Months following the public spat between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively, accusations against him emerged online. During the premiere of their film, the two actors chose to walk the red carpet individually, and there were no instances of them appearing together in any off-camera scenes.
It Ends With Us is available to stream on Netflix.
