Teyana Taylor and Aaron Pierre Reportedly Split After Less Than a Year Together

Teyana Taylor and Aaron Pierre have broken up after dating for under a year, according to Page Six.

News of the couple’s split had been spreading online before it was officially announced. While the reason for their breakup remains unknown, sources close to them say they’ve decided to part ways.

Thirty-five-year-old Taylor has been nominated for a Golden Globe award for her performance in the film “One Battle After Another.”

Pierre is currently working on a number of exciting projects, such as the next “Star Wars” film, titled “Star Wars: Starfighter,” and the new DC Studios and HBO series, “Lanterns.”

Rumors of a relationship between the couple began circulating earlier this year after they were spotted together at the Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala in Los Angeles. They were then seen at the Vanity Fair Oscar party, and Pierre even made a brief appearance – and shared a kiss – in a trailer for Taylor’s upcoming 2025 album, “Escape Room.” By June, they confirmed their relationship on Instagram, with Taylor sharing a birthday post dedicated to Pierre, including photos from his birthday celebration.

Taylor and her partner were also seen together at the BET Awards. In an interview with Complex, Taylor described him as “very gentle,” explaining that being with him makes her feel comfortable, safe, and relaxed, rather than constantly on guard.

Pierre participated in an event celebrating Taylor’s new album, praising Teyana by saying, “She’s truly unique.” They even coordinated their outfits for publicity appearances. The album went on to be nominated for a Grammy Award.

Okay, so it seems like things are over between Pierre and Taylor. I’ve been following their relationship for a while, and honestly, it looks like it fizzled out right there in plain sight – at the London premiere of “One Battle After Another,” while he was supporting her on the red carpet. It’s always sad to see, but it definitely seemed like the spark was gone at that moment.

Teyana Taylor was previously married to basketball player Iman Shumpert, and they have two children together. Their divorce became official in 2024. She has since started a relationship with actor Aaron Pierre.
