In a twist of roles, David Howard Thornton, famously known for portraying Art the Clown in the hit Terrifier films, dons a cheerful visage once more, this time assuming the character of DC’s notorious Clown Prince of Crime in the fan production titled Joker’s Wild.

The homemade movie, titled “Joker’s Wild”, reimagines the famous DC Comics tale “Batman: Death in the Family“, where The Joker ends up killing Robin, portrayed by Jason Todd in this story. Be advised, as it is quite graphic and may not be suitable for sensitive viewers. Check out the short movie below.

David Howard Thorton wants to play Joker for James Gunn’s DCU

After the successful run of “Terrifier” 3 at the box office, David Howard Thorton expressed his desire to portray James Gunn’s version of the Joker in the upcoming DC Universe. He shared this during an interview with Games Radar.

My all-time favorite villain is The Joker, and if given the chance, I’d jump at the opportunity to portray him myself someday. Ideally, a director such as James Gunn would provide me with that opportunity, as I have many exciting ideas for bringing this character to life in an entertaining manner.

On Friday, the fan-made film based on “Joker’s Wild” was unveiled and it’s garnered over 50,000 views on YouTube so far. Moreover, there are over a thousand comments from enthusiastic viewers expressing their thoughts.

In this scenario, Aaron W. Bennett assumes the roles of author, filmmaker, and executive producer. David Howard Thornton dons the Joker character, Joel LeBlanc portrays Jason Todd’s Robin, and Hunter G. Williams takes on the role of Batman.
