It’s hard to change who someone is at their core – you can move a person away from their home, but you can’t take their background with them. While I’m not naturally a cheerful, optimistic coach like Ted Lasso, I do know this: people clearly want more of the show! Thankfully, the popular Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso is coming back for another season. To get fans excited for the new year and the new team, Apple TV+ has released four new photos to announce the summer release of season four.
Good news for fans of Ted Lasso! Apple TV has announced the show will return this summer with the same beloved cast – Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift – leading a fresh team. Here’s what season four is all about, according to the official description:
In the fourth season, Ted goes back to Richmond and faces his toughest job yet: coaching a women’s football team in a lower league. Over the season, Ted and the players learn to be brave and take risks, pushing themselves beyond their comfort zones.
The show is adding several new faces this season, including Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsey, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely. New photos offer a glimpse of what’s to come, showing Tanya Reynolds, who appears to be joining the coaching staff, observing practice with a stopwatch. We also see a happy Ted and a heartwarming reunion between Ted, Rebecca, and some familiar faces. Mae is pictured cheerfully giving the coach a snack, and the whole team is getting ready for the new season on the field – just like these photos are getting us excited for season four! (And yes, they call practice “training”!)
