Okay, I’m so excited! Emily Cooper is heading to Rome for season five of Emily in Paris! Netflix just released a little sneak peek – a trailer and some photos – and it looks like things are really changing up for Emily. Goodbye Paris rooftops, hello Roman ruins! As a big fan, I can’t wait to see what adventures await Lily Collins’ character this time around.
Emily’s new season finds her juggling life and love between Paris and Rome. The preview suggests a whirlwind of romance and delightful chaos.
Emily’s romance with Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini) is blossoming against the beautiful backdrop of Italy. Expect scenic boat rides, exciting road trips, and lavish parties – all the things that make this show so fun to watch.

The show is bringing back many beloved actors alongside Collins and Franceschini, including Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie, Ashley Park as Mindy, Lucas Bravo as Gabriel, Samuel Arnold as Julien, Bruno Gouery as Luc, William Abadie as Antoine, and Lucien Laviscount as Alfie.
Minnie Driver will join the cast as Princess Jane, a friend of Sylvie’s who’s expected to bring some drama and excitement to the new season.
Although the story begins with Emily in Rome, don’t worry – she’ll be back in Paris before long.
Star shared that Emily will be working in Rome, but that won’t take away from her time in Paris. He also mentioned that the character Marcello adds a fresh dynamic to Emily’s storyline. According to Star, Marcello represents a new chapter for Emily, helping her achieve a healthier work-life balance. The goal is to see Emily genuinely happy and thriving, not just on vacation, and Marcello appears at just the right moment to help her get there.
