As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for pop culture, I must say that it’s always heartwarming to witness friendships that transcend time and break the barriers of past romantic relationships. Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift’s journey from exes to friends is a testament to their maturity and mutual respect for each other.
On Monday, August 19, Taylor Swift performed at London’s Wembley Stadium for the final round of her European leg of the Eras Tour. During this concert, Taylor Lautner and his wife, Taylor Dome Lautner, were present and posted various videos showcasing their fun-filled evening, which included friendship bracelets, dancing in the VIP section, and more. Interestingly, Lautner was once romantically linked to Maroon 5’s lead singer, inspiring one of Swift’s hit songs titled “Back to December.” In recent years, the two have rekindled their friendship.
In an Instagram story update, Taylor Lautner and his fellow actor Dome showcased their friendship by posting pictures of matching bracelets. Later on, Lautner shared a video on his account, featuring his wife and a friend grooving to Taylor Swift’s 2008 hit “You Belong with Me.”
In a different video, it was observed that Dome was grooving to the 2012 hit “I Knew You Were Trouble” alongside music video maker Johnny Rays. At one instance, Rays and songwriter Aodhan King were passing out chicken tenders to the audience, a moment caught by Lautner and posted on his story.
In a single shot, Dome succeeded in capturing an acceptable selfie that included some chicken tenders as well. She uploaded this photo onto Instagram and captioned it, “Tonight’s only snap was me and my chicken nugget.” With the image, she posed holding up a chicken nugget while donning heart-shaped sunglasses on her head. In jest, she commented, “Perfectly in line with my personality.”
In July 2023, Taylor Swift, during her Eras Tour concert in Kansas City, Missouri, amazed fans by inviting actor Lautner onto the stage alongside Joey King and Presley Cash to debut Swift’s re-recorded version of the song “I Can See You” from Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). The trio was featured on this track.
The crowd was surprised when the actor from Twilight, known for his role, performed acrobatic moves like cartwheels and backflips on stage, a gesture that long-time fans understood as a tribute to their shared scene together in the film Valentine’s Day released in 2010 with Taylor Swift.
In a chat with People last November, I proudly admitted that my spouse is an ardent Taylor Swift fan, affectionately known as a “Swiftie.” When quizzed about my past with the sensational Fortnite songstress, I candidly admitted that I cherish being recognized as her “best ex.”
He informed me that I’m the only former partner who doesn’t have a diss song about me now. That seems quite pleasant. I’ll gratefully accept it and make my exit without any issues or objections.
