Tainted Grail: Where to find a Really Special Herring and Cheese

Once you’ve finished the quest titled “The Silk Road” with Órlaith, you’ll stumble upon a secluded dungeon where Rumpolt resides. It’s apparent he’s lost his sanity, yet he proposes a dish he adores: Herring and Cheese. But be warned, not just any herring will do for this recipe; you must catch the Exceptionally Special Herring, a rare find that can only be sourced from one specific spot. Moreover, cheese isn’t particularly abundant in this realm.

We’ll explain how to make the dish, as this quest’s reward is rather spectacular.

Really Special Herring location

I’m thrilled to share that the location for catching the Extraordinary Herring is clearly marked on your map! Make your way over there and you’ll stumble upon a Fishing Rod nestled next to a dilapidated boat on a tiny island. Grab the rod, then hit the interact button while focusing on the ocean to cast your line. Be patient for a nibble, then conquer the easy fishing minigame to reel in this prized catch!

Cheese location

You might have come across some cheese hidden in crates or barrels worldwide, but if not, there’s an effortless spot to secure a guaranteed piece of cheese: Orlaith’s store. Strangely enough, she doesn’t sell it, but on her merchant’s stall within the castle, you’ll find two pieces of cheese. Technically taking them would be stealing, but if you manage to sneak behind Orlaith without being noticed, you can grab them undetected.

Cooking and the reward

After gathering all the necessary ingredients, locate a cooking pot, usually found in the courtyard of the fort. Combine the ingredients within this pot, and voilà! You’ve prepared the Herring and Cheese dish. Carry it over to Rumpolt, and he will reward you with a magical spell that involves cheese.

In a standard casting, this spell draws from your vitality to conjure up a wedge of cheese. But with a powerful cast, it not only harms adversaries, but also gradually transforms them into blocks of cheese. Thus, your journey as a Dairymancer commences.
