Tainted Grail: All player homes and how to get them

In the harsh and unfriendly environment of Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, it’s comforting to have a spot where you can consider yourself at home. Within this game, there are several properties you can purchase, which not only provide secure storage but also house various crafting stations, making them a single, practical location for your needs. Yet, there are also some free locations that, although not technically homes you can own, essentially serve the same purpose once specific quests have been accomplished.

As a gamer, here’s what I do to unlock the “Home Sweet Home” achievement in Tainted Grail:

1. First, I need to understand that there are two distinct types of homes available in the game.
2. Next, I’ll explore each area thoroughly, keeping an eye out for these unique homes.
3. Once I find one, I’ll make sure to interact with it and choose the option to claim it as my home base.
4. After claiming a home, I’ll ensure that I visit it regularly to reap its benefits and maintain my progress in the game.
5. I’ll repeat this process until I have discovered every single home available in Tainted Grail.
6. Finally, once I’ve claimed all the homes, I can sit back and wait for the “Home Sweet Home” achievement to unlock!

Purchasable player homes – Home Sweet Home achievement

Wooden Villa – 20,000 gold

As a seasoned gamer, if you’re thinking this game will offer you a lavish start, think twice! A meager 20k gold buys you a ramshackle beachfront hovel in the opening act. It’s serviceable for now, offering shelter from the night’s dangers, but don’t be surprised if you soon find yourself yearning for something more as you progress through the story, particularly when you reach the Horns of the South and seldom return to this humble abode.

Town Residence – 50,000 gold

In the heart of Cuanacht’s central plaza, this house is undoubtedly the finest accommodation available within the game, serving as a stronghold for most of your gaming experience. Its prime location places you conveniently near numerous beneficial merchants and quest providers. Additionally, it boasts all types of crafting stations integrated within its structure.

Purchasing either of these homes will earn you the Home Sweet Home achievement.

Other homes in Tainted Grail

Although these homes are affordable or even free, they won’t be legally yours, and you won’t receive the “Home Sweet Home” award for owning them.

The Mansion by the Beach – 500 gold

In the local pub at the Southern Horns, chat with Alisa to initiate the quest. As the adventure concludes, you’ll find yourself with an option to purchase her house for 500 gold pieces (or 300 if you manage to negotiate successfully), but do note that it is quite unassuming. Despite its limitations, it offers a secure haven for resting at night, yet lacks any storage facilities or crafting stations.

Firket’s Home – Free

In the town of Cuanacht, once you’ve rekindled the Menhir, you’ll encounter Firket being harassed by some Kamelot Knights outside his residence. Engaging in this situation initiates the quest “Playing with Fire.” To access Firket’s home, you must support him in his struggle. This involves persuading Delhome to give back something of his that Firket needs and ensuring Firket survives until the end of the quest, thus getting rid of the soldiers who are bothering him. If you manage to accomplish this, Firket will grant you unrestricted access to his home, making it feel like your own place.

Dal Riata homes – Free

If you align with Galahad in Tainted Grail, you might find yourself locked out prematurely. On the other hand, if you choose the Dal Riata, you’ll eventually embark on the quest Divided We Fall, where your goal is to recruit as many of them as possible for Moot. Upon completion of this quest, all the Dal Riata you successfully recruit will grant you access to their homes, allowing you to visit whenever you wish and take whatever you need from within.
