T.J. Miller Declares He Wouldn’t Join Deadpool 3 Even If Asked: “I’m at a Place in My Life Where I Don’t Need to Do Deadpool 3”

As a die-hard fan who has followed both Deadpool and Wolverine since their early days, I must say that the recent film “Deadpool & Wolverine” was an absolute delight! The movie not only lived up to my expectations but surpassed them, breaking box-office records in the process.

Three weeks ago saw the release of “Deadpool & Wolverine,” a movie that’s been hailed as a significant triumph, even breaking box-office records. This film is noteworthy as it introduces Deadpool and Wolverine into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), while also serving as a poignant goodbye to characters from the Fox X-Men franchise and other Marvel universes.

As a longtime fan of action movies and comic book adaptations, I am thrilled about the upcoming film that promises to bring together some of my favorite characters from different franchises. Having grown up watching Jennifer Garner as Elektra in “Daredevil” and Wesley Snipes as Blade in the early 2000s, it’s exciting to see them reunite for this new project. And let’s not forget Dafne Keen, who played X-23 so convincingly in “Logan.” I can only imagine the action-packed scenes that await us with such a talented and impressive cast!

In the upcoming Deadpool movies, most of the previous cast members are set to return, such as Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Briana Hildebrand, Shioli Kutsuna, and Stefan Kapičić. However, it’s worth noting that T.J. Miller will not be appearing, and the specific reasons behind his absence remain undisclosed. There could be several possible explanations for this decision.

Ever since the debut of the initial Deadpool movie, Miller has encountered sexual misconduct accusations and multiple legal problems. Furthermore, his bond with Ryan Reynolds, who starred in the film, has become strained. In the past, Miller has characterized Reynolds as harsh and insecure, even labeling him “Crying Ryan” due to supposed sensitivity over others garnering laughter.

Working on the movie “Deadpool & Wolverine” might significantly enhance one’s career, but according to Miller, he wouldn’t collaborate with Reynolds again, and he has no interest in “Deadpool 3” whatsoever.

In a different phrasing, I’d say: Regardless of who approached me, offering to produce Deadpool 3, I wouldn’t have accepted the offer.

Miller shared that the uncomfortable situation he found himself in with Reynolds during filming is among several factors leading him to step away from the project, opting not to continue with the movie.

That’s certainly a component, but really, the real reason is the same reason I left Silicon Valley, which is, I don’t really think you should do something more for more than five years. It’s weird to just go back and play Weasel, like, 10 years later.
